A “train the trainer” workshop has been organised on 28-29 September 2017 by RISE, targeting in particular members of the National Agency for Public Procurement.
After almost 3 years of work, the PPI4Waste project shared the main findings of all the research and activities implemented during the project's lifetime to help increase the uptake of innovative waste solutions! Entitled "Feedback and opportunities for public procurement of innovation in the waste sector", PPI4Waste project's final conference took place on 12 September 2017 in Brussels (Belgium).
UniZar and the Spanish Observatory of Public Procurement organised a workshop on Public Procurement of Innovation in Waste management on Thursday 7 September in Zaragoza. The workshop presented the results and recommendations of the PPi4Waste project, about the best way to acquire innovative approaches in waste management sector, in the European Directives context.
Members of PPI4Waste Interest Group were invited to join "Experiences and insights in piloting PPI in the waste sector", the last webinar of the Interest Group. It discussed how some of the pilot PPI activities were undertaken by the project, how PPI is being used in other waste-related projects and wider in the waste sector.
A workshop for Innovative Procurement (PPI) in Waste management took place last Wednesday 29 March in Frankfurt, organised jointly by ICLEI and KOINNO. The workshop aims to discuss the latest PPI tools, present innovative examples related to innovation in public procurement and discuss the new proposed related legal framework.
Zagreb Holding organised a workshop on the new Act on Public Procurement that has been recently adopted in the Republic of Croatia. The aim of the workshop was to present novelty related to innovation in public procurement and to identify potential solutions in the process of implementation.
Members of PPI4Waste Interest Group were invited to join What's Waste Worth. This second PPI4Waste Interest Group webinar explored some very different approaches to waste management. It included a discussion on the use of performance based indicators within waste contracts and the approach used for waste management by PPI4waste partner Mancomunidad del Sur (Spain).
The PPI4Waste project is inviting its Purchasing Community to join this year’s Procura+ Seminar, taking place from 13-14 October 2016 in Rome, as a roundtable is organised there for its members. They met last time in Bilbao in April as part of the state of the art workshop and procurers outlined specific interests how to make sustainable innovation a common practice in waste management. Members of the purchasing community are offered the possibility to have an ongoing discussion during the Procura+ Seminar.
Within the project PPI4Waste, ACR+ organised a meeting and debate between public purchasers and suppliers in the waste sector in Belgium: "Innovative public markets on the subject of collection and separation of plastics in Belgium: needs and solutions, what's next?"
The PPI4Waste International State of the Art workshop brought together public procurers and suppliers of innovative waste solutions to discuss procurement needs and showcase innovative solutions for specific areas of waste management including plastic separation, biowaste treatment and organisational infrastructure.
